Good teachers are constantly revising lessons and integrating new ones. But there's no reason to "re-invent the wheel," so to speak, when it comes to ELA lessons. There are many great websites that house lesson plans for English teachers. One such lesson plan site is LearnZillion.
LearnZillion is aligned to the Common Core State Standards, and is searchable by key word, strand, or specific standard. Each lesson is video-based, which is wonderful for our visual students. Many lessons also have a "Commentary" video, with suggestions for the teachers. Reading lessons have pdf files of anchor texts. Many lesson plans also contain an assessment, piece, too!

LearnZillion contains a searchable database of lessons in ELA and Math for grades 3-9. There's also a "class" component, so it appears you can assign video lessons to students online and monitor their use/mastery. Teachers can also use the calendar feature to assign and view lessons by day.
All in all, it looks like a fantastic new resource. These lessons were designed and created by teachers, not people that have been out of the classroom too long.
Take a few minutes and give LearnZillion a try. It's a free resource that's well worth looking into!
